Manchester United won a record 13 Premier League titles in 1992 for the highest flight of English football.
Sir Alex Ferguson was the man to win his first Premier League season in 1992/93 and continued to win titles in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 - more than any other club to date.
Despite the slow start, in 2008/09 United won the title. The Reds finished the league season in style with 18 wins from their last 21 games.
A point in Blackburn, after the West Londoners were beaten in front of a merry house crowd at the virtual title headquarters in May 2011, sealed the success of Sir Alex Wayne Rooney's excellent dominance in the 12th league with a penalty.
The title set a new record for a total of 19 English flights, but United had to wait for the 20th.
Surprised by this, the Reds returned in style by winning the 2012/13 title race with four games to spare. Summer 2012 signing Robin van Persie highlighted his impressions of his debut season, scoring a decisive 3-0 hat-trick against Aston Villa on 22 April 2013.
The UEFA Champions League is the last club competition in European football and Manchester United have won the trophy three times. Matt Busby's men reached the semi-finals in the 1956/57 and 1957/58 seasons, but the club's participation in the 1957/58 race will still be linked to the Munich air disaster As Sir Matt Busby formed a new team, hope came from the tragedy. The other semi-final, 1965/66, was the club's first European Cup in 1967/68, with Bobby Charlton (two), George Best and Brian Kidd winning their first European Cup against Benfica at Wembley. . The club, which expanded again and changed the name of the Champions League, had to wait 26 years to compete again. United reached the semi-finals in 1997 before winning the trophy for the second time in 1999. In Moscow in May 2008, the Reds sealed their third European Cup victory - 50 years after the Munich plane crash and 40 years after the club's first victory in '68 - with Chelsea's dramatic penalty shootout victory. Ryan Giggs, who wore his 759th game in red, broke Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time record and scored United's penalty. Edwin van der Sar confirmed that there were European Kings in Greece with his sentence after Nicolas Anelka and signed a historic double for the Reds.
Manchester United's UEFA Europa League triumph in 2016/17 was significant for a number of reasons. Not only did it secure Champions League football at the end of the second-longest season in the club's history, it also meant the Reds had completed the set of major honours available to European clubs. United narrowly missed out on the final during the club's first involvement in the competition in 1964/65, when it was known as the Inter-City Fairs Cup. The Reds would struggle in the competition which was renamed the UEFA Cup at the next three attempts, falling at the second-round stage to Juventus in 1976/77 and the first hurdle in 1980/81 and 1982/83, to Lodz and Valencia respectively. United entered the competition for just the 10th time at the start of the 2016/17 campaign, having finished fifth in the Premier League under van Gaal the year before. At the quarter-final stage, the Reds drew 1-1 with Anderlecht in Brussels before securing a 2-1 win at home. The result set up a semi-final meeting with Celta Vigo, and United advanced to the final as Rashford's free-kick secured a 1-0 away win, before an eventful 1-1 draw in the second leg. Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan - who made club history by netting in five away or neutral European games in one season - were on the scoresheet in the 2017 UEFA Europa League final as the Reds claimed a significant victory for both the club and the city of Manchester.
Manchester United have won the European Super Cup on one occasion in the club's history.
Manchester United's first taste of the competition came in 1991 when, after the Reds' victory over Barcelona in the Cup Winners' Cup, they faced European champions Red Star Belgrade. Due to Yugoslavia's unstable political climate, it was decided the 1991 Super Sup would be settled over one leg. A Brian McClair strike was enough to hand United a 1-0 win and hand Sir Alex his third trophy.
United's second appearance in the Super Cup was earned by the last-gasp Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich. Super Cup finals had, since 1998, been reduced from two legs to a one-off match - the Reds played Lazio at Monaco's Stade Louis II on 27 August 1999 and lost 1-0 to a first-half strike from Marcelo Salas.
Sir Alex took his team to the same venue nine years later, again as European champions, and again lost the Super Cup final by the odd goal. This time United were turned over 2-1 by Zenit Saint Petersburg on 29 August 2008 with Nemanja Vidic scoring for the Reds.

Then in 1999 United completed the second half of the historic Treble with a 2-0 victory over United Newcastle. The Reds reached the final again in 2004. After beating arch-rivals Arsenal 1-0 in the semi-finals at Villa Park. In May 2016, Louis van Gaal's United team traveled to Wembley to face Crystal Palace, ending a nine-year gap in the FA Cup final. The Eagles took a shot in the 78th minute from Jason Puncheon, with Juan Mata equalizing just three minutes later. In extra time, the Reds suffered another blow when Chris Smalling was sent off for a foul on Yannick Bolasie, but Jesse Lingard's winning streak allowed 10 men to claim the trophy for the 12th time in the club's history.
Manchester United have a total of 21 Community Shield successes on the podium - 17 open wins and four draws shared. The Reds' first lifting match at Wimbley, where they won the FA Cup in 1977, ended with the goal being shared with league champions Liverpool after a goalless draw. The trophy was brought to Old Trafford in 2003, and a year after the competition it was renamed the Community Shield. Arsenal were beaten while being punished at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, while Wembley was being rebuilt. United goalkeeper Tim Howard won the Reds 4-3, while Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Robert Pires won the shots acrobatically. The Red and Blacks gave a positive start to the 2010/11 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea. Antonio Valencia's goals, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez - made his official United debut as a substitute and Dimitar Berbatov secured the club's 18th victory. Against Manchester City the following year, United came back from a 2-0 thrashing in the half-time, and the Portuguese star won thanks to a shot from Chris Smalling and a shot from Nani. Jose Mourinho took control of the club's 21st victory in the competition, lifting the Community Shield, when the 2016 FA Cup winners beat league champions Leicester City 2-1.
